ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to reopen dine-in restaurants, cafes, cinemas and gyms from August 10 after nearly five months of closure due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Speaking to media after the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) meeting, Asad Omar said all educational institutions across the country would be reopened from September 15. “The Covid-19 situation will be reviewed on September 7 before schools reopen,” she said.
He said the existing restrictions on trains and airlines would be lifted in October. Wedding halls will be allowed to operate from September 15, while the beauty parlor will be allowed to open from the 10th of this month.
The Minister said the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for recently approved businesses will be finalized in the next few days.
Speaking about tourist destinations, Asad Omar announced that all tourist destinations and hotels in the country will reopen on August 8.

It is worth mentioning here that all restaurants, shopping malls and shops were closed after the country imposed a lockdown in March to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
