Electric buses will run in Pakistan from this year: Fawad Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Federal Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday announced that electric buses will be running in Pakistan from this year. 

The minister took to Twitter to share a strategic alliance agreement between China’s Daewoo Express and Skywell Automobile, which will set up an electric vehicle value chain in Pakistan.

The federal minister said in a tweet that it had succeeded in fulfilling another government promise to take the country on a path of progress and that electric buses would start operating in Pakistan from this year.

“Electric buses will start operating in Pakistan from this year and will be fully operational in Pakistan in three years,” the minister wrote on Twitter.
