Pakistan reported 531 new coronavirus cases, 15 deaths in the last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: A total of 531 new coronavirus cases and fifteen deaths have occurred across the country in the last 24 hours, leading total cases to 285,191 and a death toll to 6,112. 

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 18,227 samples were tested for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, of which 531 were positive. Of the total Covid-19 patients, 261,246 have so far survived the disease, with 17,883 active cases. Of the 1,859 ventilators fitted for critically ill patients, only 143 are in use.

There have been more than 2.1 million trials so far nationwide, leading to 285,191 positive cases. All restaurants, hotels, gyms, theaters, cinemas, beauty parlors and other businesses across the country reopened five months later on August 10, as the government lifted almost all Covid-19 restrictions.

Strict enforcement of SOPs (standard operating procedures) resumed all business activities across the country. Business hours and weekly vacations are returned to the former Covid-19 practice.
