ISLAMABAD: All restaurants, hotels, gyms, theatres, cinemas, beauty parlors, and other businesses have reopened across the country after five months as government on Monday lifted almost all Covid-19 restrictions.
According to the details, all business activities across the country have resumed with the strict implementation of the SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure) issued in view of the coronavirus. The Punjab and Balochistan government on Monday lifted the lockdown, allowing all areas except wedding halls and educational institutions to function as per the security measures specified by the government.
In the wake of the decisions taken at the August 6 meeting of the National Coordinating Committee, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Health issued a notification that it would lift the ban on all areas on August 10 and resume educational activities from September 15.
The Sindh government has allowed restaurants and other businesses to remain open until 9pm throughout the week.
The government has given permission to conduct programs for non-contact sports. All air, rail and road transport are being restarted. It is worth mentioning here that all restaurants, shopping malls and shops were closed after the country imposed a lockdown in March to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Planning and Development Minister Asad Omar has announced that the government will reopen dine-in restaurants, cafes, cinemas, parks and gyms from August 10 after nearly five months of closure due to the COVID-19 epidemic. However, all schools, other educational institutions and wedding halls in the country will reopen from September 15.
