ISLAMABAD: Youm-e-Istehsal is being observed on Wednesday to express solidarity with the innocent Kashmiri people on completion of the one-year military curfew of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K).
At 10:00 a.m. a minute of silence was observed across the country. Traffic across the country also stopped for a minute.
In addition to the atrocities perpetrated by Indian forces in Jammu and Kashmir, a number of events were organized to condemn India’s arbitrary actions against the Kashmiri people.
Kashmiri people on both sides of the Line of Control and around the world are observing Youm-e-Isteshal, condemning the illegal, unethical and unconstitutional action taken by India today to plunder its special status IIOJK today.
On this day, the whole country sends the message to their Kashmiri brothers that they are not alone, but that the people of Pakistan will always support their freedom struggle.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a tweet on Wednesday that he would address the Azam Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to express solidarity with Kashmiris on Youm-e-Istehsal.
Pakistan yesterday released its new political map, which included the capture of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a speech, PM Imran said the new map was in line with the traditional attitude of the people of Pakistan, as well as the illegal occupation of Indian Kashmir in Jammu and Kashmir.
